Students will spell words with ie and ei and spell words with the endings -ing,-ed, -s, and -es
 Student Reminders
 
Remember to write the spelling words down into your planner every Monday morning and study for the spelling test given every Friday morning.
Spelling test marks must also be recorded into the planners the following week for parents to be updated!

HOMEWORK UPDATES
 
February 1
 
-Book Orders are due tomorrow
-We have a very busy month ahead of us, please look at our schedule of events on the main page!!
-Novel study test will be this Monday morning.
-Math Extra Practice #7 is due tomorrow (We are still going to continue with our daily multiplication/division practice each day on top of our regular math program. Keep practicing those time tables!)
 
February 7
 
-Yesterday the kids had a great day cross country skiing! The staff at Otway were so impressed with how well behaved the students were!
 
-Science Fair students: Your Results are due next Monday!
 
-Spelling is due tomorrow
 
-We watched Holes this morning. Students did wonderful on their Holes test yesterday! This must be signed and returned tomorrow.
 
-Math pg.102 #1-4 is due tomorrow

February 10
 
-VOICE Story and Novel Study Brochure is due Monday morning. We had all week to work on this and most of the students have completed this in class. The students have done a wonderful job on this project!
 
-On Monday we are starting our new NOVEL!! Now that we are finished with Holes, we will be moving onto, "The Lion, The Witch, & The Wardrobe." 
 
-I will not be in on Monday so for the Science Fair group, please bring in your Results on Tuesday and we will have our meeting then.
 
February 14
 
Happy Valentines Day!
 
-Math pg.106-107 due tomorrow, most of the class finished this in class, the students are doing really well with division! Just a reminder to keep practicing multiplication as well!
 
-Finish reading Ch.1-4 for novel studies as the students will get the questions tomorrow
 
-Spelling is due tomorrow
 
-Spelling test will be THURSDAY as Friday is a Pro-D day
 
-Science Fair Group: Your CONCLUSION is due next Monday!
 
-Class pictures will be tomorrow.....look your best! :)

We are currently learning all about Government in Canada this term.

Religion
We will be talking about coming together as a class for a new year, new beginnings. This month's theme is Thankfulness.

We are learing all about the Six Simple Machines! Students will learn all about the Inclined Plane, The Screw, Wheel & Axle, Wedge, Lever & the Pulley

The big subject! We cover everything from novel studies, to poetry, to grammar, and many more! We are now on the novel, "Holes."
